Redefining Nature-Based Tourism in Malaysia: Activities and Nature Sites

Nature-based tourism has recently been the industry's focus, and nature become a tourist attraction worldwide. The increased activities participation in this type of have escalated growth research within area. Malaysia's current definition nature-based is vague, narrow, fragmented. As an essential component country's industry, it necessary to redefine since its features vary from one destination another. Hence, paper proposes compile categorise Malaysia. objective was achieved through content analysis different definitions used selected developed developing economies that were available published literature. This study identified synthesized 92 articles 1979 2022 using extensive literature search on interest. With clear insight into what should ideally encompass, findings assist stakeholders re-positioning as critical niche industry boosting domestic tourism.
